An illogical choice
Does this billboard make you want to stop in Cookeville?
Photos by Christine B. Davidian, Putnam Pit managing editor
Of all the billboards advertising businesses and attractions on I-40 between Nashville and Cookeville, one stands out as the most poorly placed and least effective: the one that touts Cookeville as "the logical choice" to stop for fast food or a cheap hotel room.

Compare the above photo of Cookeville's billboard to the collection of seven photos on the right of signs advertising other concerns along the Interstate.
