Yet again, Ellen is rebuffed in Committee scheme

SHOREWOOD, Wis. (June 8, 2004) -- Trustee Ellen Eckman's renewed attempt to subvert committee appointment process failed again last night, but the Village Board ignored ethical questions about her acceptance of campaign money from Rodney Dow, of the lobbying firm Foley & Lardner, who also pushed to undermine village president's authority in committee assignments.

Eckman said some trustees feel "excluded" by not being able to participate in certain committee deliberations, although she, personally, is not trying to get on any other panel.

To prove she does not really want to be on any other committee, even when her committee took just five minutes to complete its business she opted not to participate in discussions of committees from which she insists she or others feel excluded. Instead, the "leadership expert" decided to chat about vacations and later, to hug and chat with that  Former Langenkamp woman, her beloved former clueless fellow trustee, who was honored for not running again.
